Burning Sunlight by Anurak Thangsomboon presents mixed media sculptures created in nature forms and those of manmade. Inspired by the everyday living of humans who have to encounter obstacles, sharing happiness, experiencing sufferings and needs in both good and bad way, the artist reflects his own life lessons and these aspects of life through his unique and meaningful artworks.

Artist Biography

Anurak Thangsomboon
Anurak Thangsomboon is a fashion designer with more than 22 years of experience. He started his career with ANURAK, female clothing brand. It was then rebranded to ANR, clothing brand for men. His first sculpture entitled “TEE NOI PAGODA” was created after he had lost his dog. From that moment on, he has been creating site-specific installation sculptures with passion. His first exhibition entitled “Mouths” displayed mouths of 13 people who had influences on his life. It took place at the beginning of 2011 in his personal apartment, Sukhumvit 39. At present, Anurak is still working on fashion design along with creating works of art with determination and pride. The “Burning Sunlight” is his solo art exhibition that marks his prominent charisma in the artistic sphere.
