The Hunger of Humanity
By Pongputhan Thamdee
"The Hunger of Humanity" is an exhibition that portrays individuals trapped in a cycle of desire. It expresses how hunger distorts both the body and mind, represented through contorted figures that seem to swallow each other. The hungry stares, insatiable grins, shapeless moving shadows, and colors that evoke violence create an atmosphere of unease and distrust. These elements symbolize the relentless greed driven by primal instincts. Pongputhan's large-scale oil paintings draw viewers in, compelling them to confront the pressure of overwhelming desires while acknowledging the dangers of a society marked by irresponsible exploitation.

Mental Formations and Change
By Suporn Kaewda
"Mental Formations and Changes" is an exhibition of paintings about understanding the mind, often stimulated by external stimuli. Sometimes, it is a good thought. Other times, it is not. It is like a surface of water endlessly rippled without peace. If you understand, you will be happy. If not, you will suffer because the mind is chaotic. The drawings that unfold from the gilded black lacquer patterns in traditional Thai paintings reflect the state of the mind that ripples, moves, and dances according to the impact of the six senses of humans, whether through the ears, eyes, nose, tongue, body, or heart. It reminds us to focus, be mindful of our thoughts, and see the change that is the essence of life as the Three Characteristics of Existence, spontaneous, and normal. By doing so, the mind can be released from impermanent attachment.
